Japan's key economic assessment
TOKYO, Japan - Economic and fiscal policy minister Akira Amari holds a press conference in Tokyo on Jan. 23, 2013, after attending a meeting of Cabinet ministers concerned on the government's monthly economic report. Amari submitted the report, in which the government revised upward its basic assessment of the Japanese economy for January for the first time in eight months.
