NAGASAKI, Japan - Photo taken on Oct. 29, 2012, shows Hashima Shrine (back), the highest point on Hashima Island in Nagasaki, southwestern Japan, and the shrine's name plate (front) fallen from the torii shrine gate. The island, nicknamed "Gunkanjima" (battleship island), was once prosperous but became uninhabited after its coal mines closed in 1974.
