Volkswagen cars imported by Japan unit top 1 million

NAGOYA, Japan - Photo shows the 1 millionth Volkswagen car -- the Golf -- imported by the Japanese unit of German automaker Volkswagen AG, in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture on July 17, 2013. Volkswagen Group Japan K.K. said the same day it has imported more than 1 million Volkswagen cars since it took over the imports from Japanese car dealer Yanase & Co. in April 1991.

The Japanese unit of German automaker Volkswagen AG said the same day it has imported more than 1 million Volkswagen cars since it took over the imports from Japanese car dealer Yanase & Co. in April 1991.
