Monju fast-breeder reactor's reform period to be extended

FUKUI, Japan - Members of a Japan Atomic Energy Agency panel discuss the issue of restructuring the troubled Monju prototype fast-breeder reactor in Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture, western Japan, on Sept. 25, 2014. The agency's Monju safety review committee made clear in a draft report to the government unveiled at the meeting it will extend the term of restructuring the reactor to March 2015 from the original deadline of this September.
