Abandoned male cat popular in 'adoption party' for pets

IWAKI, Japan - A male cat named "Nobita" after a character in the popular Japanese comic series "Doraemon" enjoys popularity in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, on Oct. 12, 2014, at an "adoption party" held by a local volunteer group for pets abandoned after the 2011 nuclear power accident in the northeastern Japan region.
