Student-cum-pro 'shogi' player wins 'Ryuo' title
TOKYO, Japan - Osaka University student Tetsuro Itodani wrests the "Ryuo" crown, one of the seven major professional titles in "shogi" or Japanese chess, from champion Toshiyuki Moriuchi 4-1 in the best of seven games in Kanazawa, central Japan, on Dec. 4, 2014. It was the 26-year-old Hiroshima native's first major title.
