JR West installs new safety system for station platforms

OSAKA, Japan - West Japan Railway Co., known as JR West, opens to the press on Dec. 16, 2014, a new platform safety system installed at its Rokkomichi Station in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. The sensor-equipped system automatically raises wired barriers to allow passengers to get off and on each time a train arrives.
