Economy minister Ota retains post with her push for fiscal reform
TOKYO, Japan - Hiroko Ota, state minister in charge of economic and fiscal policy, speaks at a press conference after retaining her post in Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Cabinet reshuffle on Aug. 27. The professor-turned-minister keeps herself on track to spearhead Japan's structural reforms, as she tries to steadily implement plans to cut fiscal spending.
