STORYLINE:
Egypt's Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek El-Molla signed on Tuesday five agreements with national and international companies, to explore for oil and gas, and produce them in four areas in the Western Desert and Mediterranean sea marine field in North Sinai, with a minimum investment of 40 million U.S. dollars.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of Egypt's Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2023) from Monday to Wednesday.
The minister said on Monday during the EGYPS 2023 that the country expects to produce about 7.5 million tons of LNG in 2023.
