STORYLINE:
Amid fears of the earthquake, people in Syria's northern city of Aleppo started leaving their homes for safety.
On Sunday, the ministry of local administration and environment said that a total of 275 shelters had been opened across Syria, hosting victims of the earthquake that hit the country on Feb. 6.
At a public park named al-Shahba, 24 tents were set up, housing around 149 people.
Ahmad Wannous, a displaced man, fled his home following the earthquake and sought refuge in the park. His son, wife, and extended family of 10 all lived in the tent.
