According to the regional transport department, the investment is among the nearly 36.7 billion yuan (about 5.31 billion U.S. dollars) allocated by the central government for the construction of transportation networks in the region in 2022. The allocation registered a new high, said the department. Thanks to the investment, 95 percent of its townships and over 78 percent of its villages are now connected by roads.
