Iranians on Sunday celebrated Sizdah Bedar, also known as Nature's Day, which falls on the 13th day of Farvardin (the first month of the Iranian calendar).
As usual, millions of Iranians went to the countryside or parks and gardens to celebrate the festival with family and friends.
Sizdah Bedar also marks the end of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, which begins on the first day of spring on March 21.
Nowruz is the most important holiday in Iran, marking the official New Year of the country. It has been celebrated for over 3,000 years in Iran.
