The state receiving the largest proportion of the migrants is southeast Mexico's Chiapas with 41.3 percent, followed by Tabasco in the southeast with 9.3 percent and Coahuila in the north with 8.8 percent. A total of 7.4 million people entered Mexico from abroad, including 6.1 million foreigners, marking a 37.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2022.
