Day Of The Charros And The Escaramuzas In Mexico City

Backlight of a group of charros at the Hipodromo de Las Americas located in Mexico City, on the occasion of the Day of the Charro and the Escaramuza, where some exhibitions of these typical costumes, suertes such as the floreo de reata, the buried rooster, folkloric dances and thoroughbred horse competitions were performed. Charreria is a discipline that arose from equestrian activities and livestock traditions. It was catalogued as a sport, according to the Agrarian Reform at the beginning of the 20th century in Mexico. The state of Hidalgo is considered the point of origin of charreria.
