Guelaguetza Festival In Mexico City

Women and men of the folkloric ballet of Cananea and other folkloric dance groups from the Iztapalapa district in Mexico City are gathering before a dance on the eve of the Guelaguetza Festival of the State of Oaxaca, which represents the highest festival of the state, while the sale of handicrafts from the State of Oaxaca, Mexico, takes place. The Guelaguetza has its origins in pre-Hispanic times, and it is worth mentioning that this festivity began with a ritual that was done to the ancient gods in a place called by the Zapotecs as Daninayaaloani or hill of beautiful view.
