Guelaguetza Festival In Mexico City

A woman is selling her products while women and men of the Cananea folkloric ballet and other folkloric dance groups from the Iztapalapa municipality in Mexico City are performing a dance on the eve of the Guelaguetza Festival of the State of Oaxaca, which represents the highest festival of the state. The Guelaguetza has its origins in pre-Hispanic times; it is worth mentioning that this festivity began with a ritual that was done to the ancient gods in a place called Daninayaaloani or "hill of beautiful view" by the Zapotecs.
