The excavations in the ancient city of Prusias ad Hypium are located in the Konuralp district of Duzce, the state-run TRT broadcaster reported. Experts believe that the newly-discovered mosaic room represents a late Roman era cult area, where a society or a group of people practiced a lifestyle that included specific values, beliefs, traditions, art, and other cultural elements. It was found that the entire room was covered with a mosaic floor consisting of finely crafted white, blue, yellow, green, and brown tesserae (small mosaic stones of various colors).
