STORYLINE:
A dragon-themed cultural exhibition kicked off Tuesday in Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum to mark the Chinese zodiac Year of the Dragon that starts on Feb. 10.
169 pieces (sets) of cultural relics and artifacts related to the symbol of the dragon are on display, showcasing the rich cultural legacy of the dragon throughout Chinese history.
The exhibition aims to explain how the dragon has become a cultural symbol embodying wisdom, strength, and auspiciousness.
The exhibited artifacts include jade objects, bronze ware, pottery, ceramics, clothing, embroidery, stone carvings, rubbings, New Year paintings, prints, and paper cuttings, etc.
