Protest Of Free Poles In Warsaw

In Warsaw, Poland, on January 11, 2024, PiS President Jaroslaw Kaczynski, along with Mateusz Morawiecki, Mariusz Blaszczak, Beata Szydlo, and Rafal Bochenek, are participating in the Free Poles Protest organized by Law and Justice in front of the Polish Parliament. The new coalition government's changes to the public media have sparked protests by PiS supporters. In response to personnel changes and the president's veto on a budget-related bill, PiS party politicians are occupying the public television's headquarters, leading to TVP being put into liquidation. The PiS party is also organizing the March of Free Poles protest in solidarity with Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik, who are being detained by the police. The protest began in front of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and is moving towards the Chancellery of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. (Photo by Klaudia Radecka/NurPhoto)
