The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) initiated the Housing Financing Program Environmentally Friendly (Indonesia Green Affordable Housing Program/IGAHP) which targets low-income communities (MBR) and is scheduled to run from 2024. In line with this, the Indonesian government chose BTN People's Housing Credit (KPR) as a subsidized home ownership credit system from the Indonesian government to meet housing needs.
