Hokuriku Shinkansen Line to stretch through Fukui Pref.

Photo taken on March 15, 2024, shows a full-sized statue of a Tyrannosaurus rex in front of JR Fukui Station in Fukui Prefecture ahead of the start the following day of a shinkansen bullet train service between Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, and Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture -- a new extended route of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line, currently linking Tokyo with Kanazawa. The central Japan prefecture of Fukui is known as the site where the largest amount of dinosaur fossils has been discovered in the country.
