47-Year-Old Woman Struck By Gunfire And Wounded In Chicago Shooting

A police officer is at the crime scene where a shooting is injuring a 47-year-old woman in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on April 11, 2024. At approximately 4:55 a.m. on Thursday morning, the woman is telling police that she was outside in the 6700 block of S. Indiana Avenue when she heard shots and then felt pain. The victim is sustaining a gunshot wound to the thigh and is being transported to the hospital in fair condition. No other injuries are being reported, and at this time, no one is in custody.
