47-Year-Old Woman Struck By Gunfire And Wounded In Chicago Shooting

A police officer is taking photos of the crime scene where a shooting injured a 47-year-old woman in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on April 11, 2024. At approximately 4:55 a.m. on Thursday morning, the woman reported to police that she was outside in the 6700 block of S. Indiana Avenue when she heard shots and then felt pain. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh and was transported to the hospital in fair condition. No other injuries have been reported, and currently, no one is in custody.
