Two Police Officer Shot And Killed; Suspect Dead In Onondaga County New York

Police vehicles and crime scene tape are surrounding the home on Darien Drive of a suspect who is accused of shooting and killing two police officers in Salina, New York, on April 15, 2024. Two Syracuse, New York, police officers unsuccessfully attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle on April 14, 2024. The officers found the license plate and tracked it to an address on Darien Drive in Salina, Liverpool, New York. After discovering that the suspect might be armed, the police officers requested assistance from the sheriff's office. They located the vehicle at the home and observed possible weapons inside. An exchange of gunfire occurred between one suspect and the police officers. The Syracuse police officer, sheriff's deputy, and the suspect were shot and transported to a hospital in Syracuse, where the two police officers and the suspect were pronounced dead.
