UAE: Torrential Rain Causes Severe Flooding In Sharjah
Powerful storms battered some Gulf states on Tuesday, April 16, bringing torrential rain, hail, and floods, leaving at least 19 people dead in Oman and the United Arab Emirate.
Severe flooding hit across UAE, with metro stations in ankle-deep water. Drivers were stuck on flooded roads and some abandoned their vehicles on the streets. Flights were canceled, schools were closed, and government employees worked from home.
This video shows streets remained flooded with submerged cars in Sharjah Wednesday morning.
