Heliconius charithonia, the zebra longwing or zebra heliconian, is a species of butterfly belonging to the subfamily Heliconiinae of the family Nymphalidae. Carl Linnaeus first describes it in his 1767 12th edition of Systema Naturae. The boldly striped black and white wing pattern is aposematic, warning off predators. It is the state butterfly of Florida. The species is distributed across South and Central America and as far north as southern Texas and peninsular Florida; there are migrations north into other American states in the warmer months.     Canna Indica

    Canna indica is a plant species native to Mexico, Central America, South America, and the West Indies. It is also known as African arrowroot, Indian shot, edible canna, purple arrowroot, and Sierra Leone arrowroot, and belongs to the family Cannaceae. The plant has naturalized in many tropical regions and is difficult to remove. It is also naturalized in the southeastern United States (Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and South Carolina), and much of Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. The flowers are hermaphroditic. It has been a minor food crop cultivated by indigenous peoples of the Americas for thousands of years. The largest flowers are zygomorphic and threefold.       The Common Crow (Euploea core) butterfly belongs to the Crows and Tigers subfamily Danainae, within the tribe Danaini, and is found from South Asia to Australia. It is a medium-sized butterfly, glossy-black in color, with a wingspan of 85-95 mm (3.3-3.7 in), featuring rows of white spots along the margins of its wings. This species, as caterpillars, sequesters toxins from its food plant, which are then passed on from the larva to the pupa and finally to the adult. The Common Crow butterfly exhibits bold behavior while feeding, spending extended periods of time at each bunch of flowers.
