Daily Life in Beit Lahia After 15 Months Of War
Karam Haloub's kids are seen near their damaged house in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, on March 3, 2025. Karam Haloub, 39, insisted on living together with his wife and five children in their own house in Beit Lahia town for the first 14 months since the outbreak of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023. However, the family were forced to evacuate during an Israeli operation in December 2024, and moved into a tent in Gaza City. They returned to the Beit Lahia town following the declaration of the Gaza ceasefire, but only found their residence demolished in attacks. Now, the family have to cope with a makeshift shed next to the rubble of their home amidst harsh conditions. Photo by Rizek Abdeljawad/Xinhua/ABACAPRESS.COM
