Ethiopia Tigray in Crisis
35-year-old Letebrahan sits outside the tent she shares with her one-year-old daughter Zenehawit in Mekele, Ethiopia, on March 20, 2025. The last aid they received was 9 kilograms of wheat per person from the NGO Samaritan’s Purse. The family can no longer afford essential medicine, previously covered by USAID. The suspension of USAID and cuts from other aid organisations have severely impacted citizens, leaving displaced communities without adequate food or medicine.
