US: Snow Hits Western North Carolina on St. Patrick’s Day
Western North Carolina traded its green for white this St. Patrick's Day as snow blanketed the region's mountain communities.
Snow accumulated in higher elevations near the North Carolina-Tennessee state line, with several inches recorded across the area.
The snowfall is part of a larger storm system that brought severe weather across much of the eastern United States from March 13 to 17, impacting nearly 200 million people with blizzards, tornadoes, and damaging winds.
