US: Everglades Wildfire Scorches Nearly 5,000 Acres in South Florida

A wildfire burning across the Everglades along the Broward and Miami-Dade county border in Florida had scorched more than 4,800 acres as of Sunday evening, May 10, with crews from multiple agencies working to contain the blaze. Roads in the area were closed, and residents were advised to keep windows shut and stay indoors if they have respiratory issues. No injuries were reported.
