Valley in akunoura

When Beato visited Akunoura around 1864, he took a picture of the stone bridge over the Dainichi River and people. It is a rare photo of the suburbs of Nagasaki at the end of the Edo Era. Otowa kannon statue at kyoto kiyomizudera temple

The Shakado, Amidado and Okunoin are located down the corridors from the main hall of Kyomizu Temple. The Amidado is said to be the place where Honen started his meditations. The main Buddha is the wooden Dainichi Nyoraizo (or Denkannon) with samurai standing on both sides. Industry minister says will sell off TEPCO shares when term ends

TOKYO, Japan - Industry minister Yoichi Miyazawa tells a session of the House of Councillors Committee on Economy, Trade and Industry in Tokyo on Oct. 28, 2014, that he intends to sell the Tokyo Electric Power Co. shares he owns when he ends his term and donate the proceeds to the revival of Fukushima, the prefecture hit hardest by the nuclear crisis at TEPCO's Fukushima Dainichi nuclear power plant. Miyazawa, who took office the previous week, has come under fire following the revelation he holds 600 shares in TEPCO, raising questions about the independence of the minister in charge of overseeing the power sector. Mt. Fuji seen from a mountain village

Mt. Fuji viewed from around Murayama, Fujinomiya City (?). When climbing to Mt. Fuji from Fujinomiya, travelers stopped at Murayama Sengen Shrine and Dainichi-do in Murayama Village to worship. Since Mt.
