Shiodome Media Tower, a 172-meter skyscraper with 34 stories above ground and four below, features the latest communications facilities including high-speed fiber-optic networks.

The building, Shiodome Media Tower, is being built on a 9,323 square-meter plot that was once part of the now-defunct Japanese National Railways Shiodome freight train station. The building is due for completion by June 2003.
