US: Record Rainfall and Flood Warnings Across Phoenix and Gila County, Arizona 2

Heavy rain and thunderstorms swept across metro Phoenix on Sunday, breaking the city’s Oct. 12 rainfall record with nearly 2 inches at Sky Harbor Airport. The National Weather Service issued multiple flood warnings across Maricopa County, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley, and extended a flood watch for the Phoenix area through Monday evening. Flooding also hit Globe, Miami, and nearby Gila County towns still recovering from deadly floods weeks earlier.

Taiwan: Multistory Building Collapses After Deadly Quake In Hualien

The Tian Wan Xing (Uranus) Building in Hualien collapsed after a very strong earthquake hit Taiwan on April 3. As of writing, 9 people are reported dead and over a thousand were injured. USGS measured the magnitude of the quake at 7.4, but local reports say it was of 7.2 magnitude.

Taiwan: Footage Shows Large Cracks On High-Rise Apartment Building In Hualien After Quake

A highrise apartment building in Hualien sustained damage after a very strong earthquake hit Taiwan on April 3. This footage shows cracks on the building and debris from chipped outer walls on the street at Lane 62, De'an 6th street in Hualien.
