Todaka crowned the new WBA super flyweight champion
NAGOYA, Kyodo - Japan's Hideki Todaka is crowned the new World Boxing Association (WBA) super flyweight champion July 31 after defeating Venezuelan champion Jesus Rojas on a unanimous points decision. Todaka sent the champion to the canvas in the second round at Nagoya Sports Complex and dominated Rojas from the eighth to win 3-0 on the judges scorecards in a rematch of their March 28 fight which was stopped in the fourth after a clash of heads and declared a draw.
