Ex-union leader gets suspended prison terms for tax evasion

TOKYO, Japan - Morishige Goto, a former head of the All-Japan Prefectural and Municipal Workers Union (Jichiro), enters the Tokyo District Court on June 24 to hear a ruling on his tax evasion charges. The court sentenced Goto 18 months in prison suspended for four years for tax evasion related to the union's income.
