Chimuras celebrate New Year's Day in Japan

OBAMA, Japan - Yasushi Chimura (L) and his wife, Fukie, among those abducted by North Korea in 1978 but now back in Japan, on Jan. 1 visit Fukie's family home in Obama, Fukui Prefecture, to celebrate New Year's Day with relatives. Speaking to reporters, Chimura, 47, expressed his wish to be reunited as soon as possible with his children. ''I cannot hide my feeling that I wish my children were also here,'' he said.
