Aides to LDP Diet member Sakai held over undeclared donations
TOKYO, Japan - Officials from the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office enter the home of Aki Shionoya, a state-paid policy secretary of Takanori Sakai, a ruling Liberal Democratic Party member of the House of Representatives, in Tokyo's Katsushika Ward on March 4. Shionoya and another aide to Sakai were arrested on suspicion of failing to list in official documents donations worth more than 10 million yen a year for four to five years until around 2001.
