Gov't, MMR maker to pay 155 mil. yen over vaccine side-effects
OSAKA, Japan - Hana Ueno (wheel chair), her parents and family members of two other victims of a formerly mandatory measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine enter the Osaka District Court on March 13 to hear a ruling on their suit demanding compensation from the state and the Research Foundation of Microbial Diseases of Osaka University. The court ordered the government and the institute to pay 155 million yen. (Kyodo)
