4 found dead in Yokohama, murder-suicide suspected

YOKOHAMA, Japan - Policemen moves one of the bodies from a Yokohama apartment June 11. A couple, their 19-year-old daughter and a 24-year-old man believed to be the daughter's boyfriend were found stabbed to death in the apartment building the previous night in a multiple homicide the police suspect was committed by one of the four. Man apparently kills self after questioning over woman's body

TOKYO, Japan - The Japanese wife of a Ghanaian man who died suddenly while being deported from Japan last month, and some 50 people supporting her stage a demonstration in Tokyo's Roppongi district on April 12, 2010, to demand the Japanese government fully investigate the case. The 48-year-old wife said she believes the death of her 45-year-old husband was caused by violence by Japanese immigration officials who accompanied him aboard a flight to Cairo from Narita airport on March 22 when he was being deported for illegally staying in Japan.

18-yr-old boy arrested for knocking man off train platform

TOKYO, Japan - Kazuma Yabuno, a 42-year-old computer system engineer, was arrested June 13 on suspicion of creating a replica (shown in photo) of Yahoo Japan Corp.'s website to steal personal information from users of the nation's largest portal site. 5 bodies found in car in Shiga Pref., group suicide suspected

Teen cites grudge against teacher

OSAKA, Japan - Flowers are laid near the gate to an elementary school in Neyagawa near Osaka on Feb. 15 where a 17-year-old boy stabbed one teacher to death and injured another teacher and a school staffer the previous day. The boy has told police he had a grudge against a teacher, who was not one of the victims, at the school. (Kyodo)

FUKUOKA, Japan - Ryoshichi Umezu, the 78-year-old father of a murder victim, Chika Matsumoto, expressed dissatisfaction in Fukuoka Prefecture on Jan. 24 after a Chinese court earlier in the day sentenced a Chinese man to death but spared the life of another after finding them guilty of the 2003 murders of a family of four in the Japanese prefecture. The two Chinese, formerly students in Japan, were sentenced for killing Chika, her husband and clothing dealer Shinjiro, their son Kai and daughter Hina. The second man was given a life term.
