Ono registered housekeeper as state-paid secretary until 1998
TOKYO, Japan - State minister and House of Councillors member Kiyoko Ono (in file photo) registered her housekeeper as a state-paid secretary for about 10 years up to 1998, sources close to the case said Sept. 22. Rather than working at Ono's office at the Diet office building, the housekeeper stayed at the lawmaker's home in Tokyo's Ota Ward preparing food, cleaning and doing other housework. (Kyodo)
