Mitsubishi Motors launches fully redesigned Pajero SUV

TOKYO, Japan - Mitsubishi Motors Corp. President Osamu Masuko unveils the company's fully redesigned Pajero sports utility vehicle during a presentation in Tokyo on Oct. 4. Mitsubishi will market seven-seater long-body and five-seater short-body types, with their prices ranging from 2,625,000 yen to 4,368,000 yen and from 2,415,000 yen to 3,486,000 yen, respectively. Honda to sell CR-Z hybrid sports car priced from 2.27 mil. yen

TOKYO, Japan - Honda Motor Co. will sell its CR-Z gasoline-electric hybrid sports car (photo) at a starting retail price as low as 2.27 million yen. Honda has set the price of the two-seater, which will be launched Feb. 26 in Japan as the world's first hybrid sports car, lower than conventional sports cars in a bid to draw new customers who are interested in high operational performance when driving at a high speed. New Citizen watch with dark crimson japanned face

An artisan of the country's traditional Aizu painting worked on the CTU57-1242 by meticulously painting deep crimson lacquer on the face in layers, claims the company. Golden hawk worth 10 mil. yen stolen

OSAKA, Japan - Photo shows an exquisite golden hawk that was stolen by three robbers wearing balaclavas from the Tomiya Gold precious metals shop in the city of Okayama on Jan. 29. Tomiya Corp., which runs the shop, said around 850 grams of gold was used to make the 28-centimeter-high hawk worth 10 million yen.
