8 asbestos victims in Osaka file damages suit against state

OSAKA, Japan - Eight asbestos victims in the Sennan district of southern Osaka Prefecture, home to many fiber spinning plants, file a damages suit against the state at the Osaka District Court on May 26. The 240 million yen lawsuit accuses the state of failing to implement protective measures for workers and nearby residents. (Kyodo)
