To improve local people's living and protect the local ecosystem, more than 300 residents left their hometown in the county's Doima Township on Tuesday, marking the start of the second batch of the county's relocation. Their new home Singpori is on the north bank of the Yarlung Zangbo River at an altitude of 3,600 meters in the city of Shannan, only some 10 km from the airport of the regional capital Lhasa. With an average altitude of above 5,000 meters, Tsonyi's oxygen in the air is about 40 percent of that in the plain.
