More than 1.6 million Cuban students headed back to school on Monday amid the COVID-19 pandemic, dengue outbreaks, and power outages.
Although mask mandates are not in place, schools have been provided with disinfectant solutions to minimize the risk of contagion with COVID-19 among students and faculty.
In addition, the Cuban government strives to contain the worst dengue outbreak in the past 15 years.
