BEIJING, China - Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao (L) applauds as outgoing Premier Zhu Rongji (standing) finishes delivering his final government work report to the country's annual National People's Congress (NPC) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on March 5. Hu, who replaced Jiang Zemin as party chief in November 2002, is expected to take over Jiang's job as state president when the new state leadership is decided at the NPC plenary session March 5-18.
