(1)Missing woman's family sues state to get abductee recognition
TOKYO, Japan - The family of Noriko Furukawa (shown in photos), a Chiba Prefecture woman who is suspected of having been abducted by North Korea, filed a lawsuit against the state on April 13, demanding official recognition of the woman as an abduction victim. At a news conference in Tokyo the same day, Furukawa's elder sister shows pictures of Noriko, who disappeared at age 18 after she left home in July 1973.
