New train car for royal family and state guests unveiled

TOKYO, Japan - East Japan Railway Co. unveiled to the press in Tokyo on July 23 a newly-made train that comprises a special train car to be used by the royal family and state guests and five quality cars for use by tourists. Photo shows the front train car shown to the press at Tokyo's JR Ueno Station.

        TOKYO, Japan, July 1 Kyodo - JR East's luxury sleeper express train Cassiopeia arrives at JR Ueno Station in Tokyo on June 30, 2025, after making its last run before retirement, a three-day round-trip tour between Tokyo and Sendai, northeastern Japan.
