23-yr-long dispute over ex-JNR workers settled at top court

TOKYO, Japan - A group of lawyers for plaintiffs meet the press in front of the Supreme Court in Tokyo on June 28, 2010, after a legal settlement was reached at the court on a 23-year-long dispute over the refusal by Japan Railways group companies, successor of the state-run Japanese National Railways, to hire 1,047 former unionized workers of JNR.
