Red Sox's Ortiz receives 2011 Clemente Award
ST. LOUIS, United States - Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz, nicknamed Big Papi, attends a press conference at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri, on Oct. 20, 2011, after he received the Roberto Clemente Award. The annual award recognizes the player who best represents the game of baseball through positive contributions, on and off the field, paying tribute to achievements and character of the late MLB star Clemente. The 12-time All-Star and Hall of Famer died in a plane crash on New Year's Eve 1972 while attempting to deliver supplies to earthquake victims in Nicaragua.
