Blind human rights activist Chen's home in China

BEIJING, China - Chen Guangfu, 55, the older brother of blind Chinese human rights activist Chen Guangcheng, stands in front of empty bookshelves at the younger Chen's home in the village of Dongshigu, Shandong Province, on June 8, 2012. The books were confiscated by men who kept Chen under surveillance during his life there under house arrest, his family said. After escaping from house arrest on April 20, 2012, Chen sought refuge in the U.S. embassy in Beijing and is now studying at New York University after China allowed him to leave for the United States.
